A collection of some truley beautiful photographs from “Arnham Land” in the “Northern Territory” feauturing the “Yoiongu People”, the “Traditional Landowners” down to “Eden” on the “Southern Coast of NSW” highliting tuna fishing.

So many remarkable shots it’s hard to pick a favorite. I fished at “The Murk” as young fella, having grown up in “North Bondi”, but never traversed the “Flying Fox” across to the rocky outcrop. “Members” had their “Trapize & Ropes” in lockers, which were chiselled into the sandstone cliff face. Once on the outcrop they would secure themselves to a drilled metal pole via a leather belt. Makes you wonder why this was outlawed!!!

MY FAVORITES

The below samples are finished with an ebony core off-white matte and a gloss wooden black frame with a gold inner border

Photographed at “The Murk”, Nth Bondi, in the late 1950’s. So called as it was the “Sewage Outlet” below the North Bondi “Golf Links.” These guys were crazy and the practice on the “Flying Fox” was banned in the late 1960’s.

This photography has always been a favorite of mine, maybe because I have always been a dog lover. Dad took this shot at “Eden”, on the “NSW, South Coast,” in the 1960’s. Dad captured this magic shot at the docks at “Eden” on his wayout to photograph the “Tuna Fishing” for “The Eden Tuna Cannery”, which was closed in 1999 due to overseas competition {D16-5}
